Ok, so it's been awhile...I should have written this about a month ago, but here we are now. So here is part 2. In part 1, we looked at how to go about selecting a senior photographer. Now let's discuss what happens after you choose your photographer.
Jade (above) didn't have a hard time choosing Pix Along The Way...we are her parents!! Once YOU choose us, you have a few more choices to make.
First, where would you like to make your memories? Choose a location that means something to you. The football field, your locker room, the stage at your school, the weight room. Or maybe your family farm, the basketball court near your house, the park you used to play at, or your backyard. Many times we use a combination of locations as well as spend some time at our studio taking indoor photographs. Jade chose a youth conference center that is of significance to her.
Then you will select which package do you want to go with. Do you want to keep it simple, with 1 hour and 1 location? Maybe you want unlimited time and unlimited locations or something in between. My very favorite thing about our packages is that no matter what package you choose, YOU CHOOSE what you want to purchase...what product, what sizes, what poses. The price of every package includes a photo credit for a la carte purchases.
We selected a canvas of the photo above for our studio. The photo below we ordered as a banner to hang up at her graduation party. Of course, we purchased wallets and wall art as well...But now I am getting ahead to myself. That will come later.
After deciding on a package, we will reserve a date. In order to hold your spot (some dates fill up pretty quick...like every Saturday in October!!), we just request half of the session fee. The other half is due by the shoot date.
Finally you get to go home and wait for your session...and choose your wardrobe. Which will be the topic of the next blog. Maybe I should write that one tonight, too!!
